The 2010 HOTS Tri will be the Tenth Annual event, featuring youth events and an adult Sprint Tri.  The Heart of the Sound Triathlon, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose purpose is to provide a challenging and safe opportunity for Islanders and their off-island neighbors to experience a competitive multi-sport athletic event. 

While the HOTS Tri is non-profit, any left-over funds are distributed to the public school teams that assist the event, such as the Vashon High School Cheerleaders (body marking and transition control), and the McMurray Middle School and Vashon High School Cross-Country and Track & Field Teams (transition traffic control). 

Overflowing community and volunteer support make the HOTS Tri one of the most desirable triathlon events in the continental USA. If you register and cannot make it, let us know ahead of time and we will apply the race fee to the next year (but we cannot apply the USAT license fee as that does not come to us).

All of our Board Members, organizers and helpers are volunteer.  If you would like to be one of these great community builders, please and we will find a niche that fits your expertise, from  holding a paper cup full of water to paddling a kayak to accounting.
